fmt.Println("Bye Gophers")

July 25, 2019

With a lot of cooperation, we were able to successfully finish the Go Conference's first regional event in Fukuoka. Although it was unfortunately rainy on the day, We are grateful to the many visitors coming from inside and outside the prefecture.

All the members of the executive committee worked together to prepare for the event with the desire to create a conference with lots of learning and enjoyment. We think that there was a point that did not reach, but the voice “I was glad to participate” in the questionnaire is very encouraging.

How was the content unique to Fukuoka, such as the platform of Mayor Takashima and the lunch map? In addition to the mission to make the event a success, the management actually had the back theme of conveying the attraction of Fukuoka. As far as judging from the atmosphere and Twitter of the place, We feel that you enjoyed the event.

We hope that we can keep up the Go community in Fukuoka so that we can hold the Go Conference again in Fukuoka and we can enhance it. Thank you very much for the sponsors and speakers who supported us, and everyone who participated and enjoyed together. Then thank you for the autumn Go Conference! Bye Gophers! \ ʕ⊙౪⚆ʔ /

Schedule and speakers are published

May 23, 2019

We published that our event schedule and speakers for sessions. Each speaker page has a speaker's biography and an abstract of the session. Please find sessions that interests you.

Go to Schedule page Go to Speakers page

We're very happy that many session frames, which can be overpacked, have been successfully filled with interesting content. Thanks to many people submissions for CFP. 😂

Feedback on the early review of proposals, which is one of the initiatives, was generally well received. With our feedback we were able to get what we wanted to know and what the audience wanted.

This time, we used a service called papercall.io to ease CFP-related work. Of course, functional things such as "communicate with applicants" and "you can evaluate reviewers" are convenient, but we would not have been able to reach if we were recruiting independently "We received submissions from overseas. We think the thing is the best to use.

In addition, papercall.io is convenient as an applicant, and when you submit a proposal, it can be reused with about 3 clicks for each of the recruited events. Even proposals with the same contents (which are likely to brush up if rejected) can effectively increase the chances of becoming a speaker, such as being rejected in an event called A but accepted in B. In fact, this time it was covered with "Go Conference 2019 Spring in Tokyo" and CFP period, and there were some submissions of the same contents.

So, what do you want to say is that the event organizer will actively use papercall.io! See also Papercall Impressions at Go Conference 2019 Spring in Tokyo.

Proposal Feedback and Notice

Apr 25, 2019

It is a deadline of CFP soon(April 30st). You guys Gophers have already been sent, right? Thank you, Thank you and Thank you. You are so Grate ❤️ We are starting to provide feedback to those who applied for CFP early. The feedback is roughly like this:

  1. The audience is trying to know what characteristics of the Go programing language have been used to solve these tasks. The recommendation from the reviewers is to add relevance of Go programing language to your topic.
  2. In a general sense this content seems to be too much to talk in 20 minutes. Reviewers are encouraged to change to a 40 minute session.

Yes, we give feedback on items that have room for improvement among The Selection Criteria presented in advance. If we are planning to submit at the very last minute, we will consider it as a better proposal if we reconsider it against the selection criteria. Please try it for reference!

Proposal submitting benefits

If you go out of the screening, you will always be able to attend this conference and you will be honored to join LT.

Request in proposal reuse

If you plan to present the same proposal at another conference(ex. Go Conference Tokyo 2019 Spring), or if you have already done so, Please update the content.
